CONSULAR INFORMATION
All Filipino nationals whose marriage is solemnized by Singapore's Registry of Marriages are required by the Family Code of the Philippines to report their marriage to the Philippine Embassy.
The Report of Marriage will be forwarded through the DFA to NSO for the issuance of a marriage certificate. This step is also necessary in case the woman would like to assume the husband's surname and have it reflected in her passport, and when the couple has a child and need to secure a birth certificate and passport for the child.
